If you or someone you know is experiencing suicidal thoughts, or have lost someone to suicide, help is available through the following sources.

  • A Crisis Line - Directories for Crisis lines in Canada,  United States, International
  • Suicide Survivors Support Groups across Canada (the term "survivor" refers to somone who is bereaved by a suicide. It does not refer to someone who has made a suicide attempt. For support in this area see many of the links on this page).
  • On-line support is available through the Samaritans.

Help is also available through a local crisis line, emergency department of your hospital or counseling agency. This information can usually be found in your phone book.
